Easyjet flight transfers

My husband and two friends had planned a cycling holiday to Italy, leaving this Friday. They are taking their bikes on the plane, flying with Easyjet.
Unfortunately due to a serious accident he is now unable to go.
They have looked into charges for changing the flights, but can't find anything on the extra they have paid for the bikes, seat choices etc. which add up to quite a bit.
Does anyone know if they will have to pay these again or if they are transferred to the flight they change to?

Go to the horses mouth.... Ring and ask, that way you should get the answers you need.0

Are they changing flights?
may be better to claim on insurance and rebook0 -
Not sure whether it would work with bikes etc but when I changed my easyjet flight, my pre-booked luggage transferred with the flight.0

Thanks all, unfortunately he didn't book travel insurance yet...he will of course ring, sometimes it's useful to be aware of others experiences though, as it seems they can vary.
I have been in a car accident which wasn't my fault, and at the moment need around the clock looking after, so we can probably claim back through that for our costs I guess. The others don't want to go without him so not sure whether that cost would be covered.0
