How do I go about using the garlic method? xx
You boil some garlic cloves in water, let the liquid cool, then spray round the base of the plants.I haven't tried it yet.
Instead of using cloves,I mixed in some ground garlic with water and let it simmer.Just waiting for it to cool,so that I can try it out.0 -
Thank you, I will try that.M.A.C.A.W member number 39

After the rain we had yesterday,I went out and removed probably 30-40 slugs of varying sizes from my vegetables and the earth around.I sprayed everything with garlicy water, but I must admit feeling less benevolent towards the wee blighters.0

I thought I was winning (hunting expeditions morning and night then hoik the little blighters into the woods for the shrews to eat)
This morning i found one had completely severed the stalk of my last remaining Borage - so i've got the Nemaslug on order now
Saying that - i have a cold frame I built out of scaffolding board and lined the top with copper tape - it's brimming with salad leaves and I've not seen a single slug on there yet
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -
