The older appraisal of the Vanquis card we don't see any more was that if the balance is paid off every month then you won't get a limit increase because you don't need it. These days that appears to be pretty much random where it applies to some people including myself but not others who have always paid off the full balance and taken the Vanquis card to Gold.

I think for now you can assume that you're not up for the current round of increases and it is just delayed. If it doesn't happen you could perhaps leave a small balance of say 20 quid and see what happens then. For that amount you would not be charged interest but instead would be hit with the minimum finance charge, currently £1.

I got my vanquis card Sept 2013, £250 limit which was increased by them in January to £500. I use it for fuel and groceries, usually up to about £450 and I always pay it in full 7 days before its due. I haven't been offered an increase, hadn't occurred to me, but just wanted to say it won't be because you've done anything wrong. I read somewhere about their increases, I'll see if I can find it again.

You can get increases every 4 months, up to £3000, conditions apply *

    * To be considered for a credit limit increase, please keep all your credit agreements in order by paying on time, making use of your existing credit limit without going over your limit, and not taking on too much debt elsewhere. This is only a guide and meeting these criteria does not guarantee you a credit limit increase.

It varies. For me it stopped at £1,750 but I think the most often reported on these forums is £2,000. It's worth noting that when you get close to the max you get a Gold card but that's really only a different design and otherwise no different to the regular card apart from a free number for support.

I got my credit reports last week and all is fine and up to date. I'd guess that maybe I've not had an increase due to changing to an O2 pay monthly from PAYG and I'm just going through a current account switch, both of which require a credit check. I'm happy though, it was to build my credit rating, which is all tip top now, I wouldn't want any more than the £500!

It gets upgraded to gold once you get a limit of £1500 or higher, just a new design card nothing else changes. I have £3000 which was suppose to be the Max but someone on here the other day said they had an increase to £3300
