Please does anyone know how we can follow up transactions taken from our Credit Card without our authorisation?
We hired a car from Firefly Car Rental in Italy (Bergamo airport) and 6 months later we are now trying to investigate why over the 6 months a total of 360 euros has been withdrawn from our Credit Card in 3 separate transactions from this company, the only reason we found out was we were trying to close our Ireland Credit Card which we had not used after we left Ireland and I spotted a payment of 40 euros then going back I spotted two payment of 160euros each even though we'd actually paid for the car hire with a different credit card online - unfortunately there is no Customer Service phone number for Firefly we spent an hour on the phone to the US and they told us this and we kept getting putting on a loop back to US reservations. They eMailed Customer Service but of course we never heard back. I am also VERY wary of any company which lists no Customer Service phone number or no Complaints Process. At the moment we do not know how we can get our money back, we will likely have to seek legal help.
Meantime we booked car hire for a Spain trip (Valencia airport) and went via a travel search engine, unfortunately we landed with Firefly again, which sometimes you don't know with search engines. Anyway we booked and paid for it, got a ref number and then got an eMail saying error with booking please go in and amend. When we tried to do this the reference number would not work so again we tried to call. Again we got in a loop with the US reservations desk and in the end we had to give up and because we did not know if we had a car or not (I read a previous post about Firefly where a girl got stranded in a foreign country) we booked another car from another company independently. Unfortunately we don't know if we will be billed or if, some 6 months later we will find hidden charges for a car hire we never had/used (?). Please if anyone knows how to follow up on this would you advise. I also read a post where someone tried to contact Hertz who pretty much washed their hands of it - there are hundreds of complaints and post across various sites in Europe.

prop a credit card issue for that forum if theyve taken funds without authorisation from a different card to the one you used to book0 -
