Puppy ate something he shouldn't

My dog managed to eat a plastic bag (thin sandwich bag type) which had been in my pocket with dog treats in. I was really worried but it didnt bother him at all. I do remember it took quite a while to work its way through though. I wonder if the kitchen roll will just turn to mush and whether you will really see it come out? I wouldnt worry too much.
Edit : sorry just realised I have repeated what Zaksmum said!0 -
Well just an update on my little 4 legged friend!
Woke up this morning to him having been sick in the night and brought some of the kitchen roll up, then straight outside for a number 2 which I think included the rest of said kitchen roll.
Last night he was feeling very sorry for him self and just wanted cuddles so 3 whole days after eating this it's made it's reappearance.
Poor little pooch his must of felt terrible with this on his belly
Thanks again to everybody x0 -
Dogs can be amazingly stupid at times.
My Ex had a Boxer dog. He was getting work done in the house and had builders in ( Ex not Dog lol). They were warned not to let the dog out of the lounge at any time. They went for Lunch and left the door open, the dog got out and into the garden. My ex came home early, to find his precious Boxer, head to toe in cement powder, in his ears, mouth, he was grey.
Rushed to the Vets and had to stay in 2 days under observation, but had to be shaved of his hair ( dog not the Ex lol ) Came home and tried to do the same again !
Had to make Rusty throw up one time, when he tried to eat a dead Rat in the park near us. Vet told us to mix some mustard powder into a jug of water and force it down his throat. It worked great, but neither of us would pick the rat up !0 -
Great tip Rusty....

I would have just let the dog eat the rat. You'd be surprised at how it gets digested so efficiently. Dogs have a higher stomach acid than us so decomposing animals are no problem to them.
Think of the classic example of dogs burying their bones and then digging them up and eating them months later0
