I was with Tiscali for years, but shortly after TalkTalk took over I moved house. It was a complete nightmare - I signed up to a fresh cotract when I informed them about the house move ... over three months without broadband, then had to fight tooth and nail to get them to cancel my contract without them forcing me to pay a cancellation fee. Constant chases of "why don't I have internet yet", "oh, very sorry, will definitely be connected by Wednesday". They never called me once to say that it would be late or that there was a problem.

It was when I pointed out that I had had precisely zero days of internet access since signing up that they finally gave in and cancelled my contract with no fees.

Switched to BT and was connected in about 3 days. Cost twice as much but I would still consider it a bargain - wouldn't touch TalkTalk again in a million years!

I have been with Talk Talk for well over a year now and have found them absolutely brilliant in comparison to Sky who were absolutely awful.

Switching was really easy, customer service excellent, I always spoke to someone who could understand me and wasn't passed around the houses constantly.

Changed my package a few months ago and once again brilliant service on the telephone, spoke to a really nice friendly chap who could not have been more helpful and clear about everything.

Recommended them to one of my work colleagues who has also had great service from them setting up her new account.

Go back to Sky??? Not on your nelly!!

I cancelled my TT account at end of contract as I was going to Virgin. Got a letter asking me to confirm. I did. Got another letter asking me to confirm and asking all the security questions. I did. Got another letter saying someone wanted to take ove my line and could I confirm. I did. Got a further letter asking for the info they'd asked in the 2nd letter. I sent it off with a flea in the ear for them. They replied asking me if the person wanting to end the contract was really me. I confirmed it was and told them no further correspondence would be entered into and I had cancelled my Direct Debit and any further charges up to contract end would be paid by me after they confirm that it was they whom I should send the money too. Now it's my turn. Shower of absolute amateurs. lol
