Houses you can't park at the front.

do you have a link to the property page so we can see what you mean? It doesn't sound awful, just a little unusual0

Also double garage and parking at the back. So not worried about being able to park ourselves.
But need to get my head around not entering the house at the front door too.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
My first terrace house i couldn't park outside and had to leave my car in the next road. But then i came out for work one Monday morning and it wasn't there. Went house hunting after that with 'a driveway' top of the must have list.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

It is one house away but it is the full length of that house and full length of it's garden away. My OH isn't worried about that but he isn't home as much as me and doesn't deal with the visitors. I guess the tesco delivery man can learn where the back entrance is and we could put a bell there.
OH is more concerned about a piece of land that is at the front that we don't know what will be built on.
OK so two issues then - deliveries simple - either they park at the back and you put a bell in (we used to live in a group of streets where NO-ONE used their front doors at all - everything came to the back gate including deliveries - no house numbers on gates either which meant instructions would be "the grey house third in with the blue gate and greenhouse in the garden"). It worked though. Or they park and use the pedestrian path. So long as you tell them what they need to do you should be OK.
The land in front which may be built on would be the dealbreaker for me.

Edit - forgot to say in the road we lived in all neighbours used the back entrance when visiting each other too - and people didnt lock their back doors so people would just walk in going "yoo-hoo anyone home?". Most people stopped short of putting the kettle on but it wasnt unheard of.0 -
It came back on the market exactly six months after it was first sold. Should that ring alarm bells?:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

Have the vendors given a reason why they are moving? Maybe it is reasons beyond their control.0 -
I don't think you should worry too much about visiting friends/relatives (though we all do that when looking for a house). You should yourself be ok with that. & if the house is otherwise perfect for you, you might be able to negotiate a lower price.
Definitely ask the vendors/EA/neighbours why the house is back on the market within 6 months.
I saw a house like this. It was a row of 5 detached houses where all the garages/parking was at the back & there was a path at the front separated from the main road by a hedge.0 -
Were all the others coming back onto the market similarly?0

I brought the subject up but got no reason. I haven't pushed it because we aren't in a position to make an offer yet. Maybe soon though so will definitely find out before we do.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
Sorry can't post a link as haven't learnt how to do it on ipad (call me lazy). The listing doesn't really show the outside much though so won't help. We have seen a few newbuild estates like this though. They seem to build houses facing communal land on the surround of the development it is one of those.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0
