Affordable Mobiles Cashback Contracts - How many can you have?

I wonder if anyone knows the answer please?

We have a Cashback contract with Affordable, running very smoothly and Cashback paid no problem for the past 18 months. We have seen another contract of interest with them - are there limits to how many Cashback contracts you can take out? Their T and Cs for Line Rental Refund (not Cashback) mention a two people per household limit but not how many contracts you can buy through them ... or does this also mean two contracts?

I have ordered a second which has arrived with the Cashback claim vouchers but just double checking before activating. If they accepted the order and sent the voucher the offer is therefore in force?

Many thanks

Avoid this dealer, at least for the present. They aren't paying claims on time nor anything like. The last time they lapsed was about 2 years ago, but this time it is widespread and even later than before.

If really want to take a huge risk, the answer to your question is that they don't restrict once you're an established customer. So the question really should be - do you feel lucky??

Thank you for the warning MJ - will have a think and also read through again to see if there are any better options. As you note on the other topic, options at the moment are quite limited.

    Many thanks

Their deals aren't much better than others at present (unless you're looking for a better end phone, perhaps). That's slightly re-assuring, in fact!

There are reasonable cashback deals with much safer dealers - and Phones4u/Dialaphone have at last started offering semi-decent ones for the first time in years.

The killer is always the mix - 100 mins/unlimited texts/1gb data on T-Mobile - LG L3 £3.66 per month after Cashback plus £42 TCB Cashback brings it down near £2 per month before selling the phone (if the Cashback pays out!). The Orange deals about are okay but 250gb data isn't enough unfortunately.

That's with Buymobiles (same as Affordable). Also TCB NOW only offers the cashback to NEW customers. It's slightly cheaper with E2Save - £4.50 ignoring TCB BUT with a basic phone. The latest deal I did was about 6 weeks ago and made a handsome profit (including the phone sale) - I also won a free Galaxy Tab 2 (wasn't aware I'd actually enetered the competition!) as well, which was a useful bonus (kept that since it's "only" worth about £80 resale and I have a use for it. The current cashback on that deal isn't as good and there are 2 restrictions on additional contracts so won't be able to get another unless the cashback increases and I've left a certain amount of time between deals. Bundle would have been useless to you as well. It's possible to get £50 cashback on Mobiles.co for right now and I expect you could get the basic phone deal through them as well (haven't checked). The other deal I grabbed is actually still possible with almost the same cashback I got at the time, but it's a round about route! I'd do it again using that route if I was constrained by the time limits.

Definitely got mine from Affordable. I find that using moneysupermarket and rightmobilephone comparison sites unearth a few more obscure deals. http://www.moneysupermarket.com/mobile-phones/networks/t-mobile/ - they don't always immediately show up when you go direct.

Thank you - I will probably return and try for another deal elsewhere.

What was the roundabout route deal you refer to above please - I am generally confident with Cashback deals so happy to work for it.

    Many thanks

TCB do a price match guarantee. Quidco offers a higher rate temporarily on Mobiles.co, so order via TCB then put in a claim as soon as it tracks.

Thank you, the Nokia 520 with Phones4u may be an option as I can get TCB plus direct cashback bringing it down to around £80, sell the phone leaves an overall cost around £30 for two years. Edit to add it is £100 Quidco.

True. I ordered another Galaxy Ace today; that will earn a very small profit plus what I sell the phone for. The bundle wouldn't be much use to you though (zero internet and only 100 mins - BUT makes a profit and 100 minutes to add to the 8 existing contracts may be useful if other deals fail to materialise in the next few months!
