If you were taking out big value loans and then paying off immediately, the PPI would have been rebated in the final payback amount, which means you'll only have paid a month or two at worst, if your calculations are correct.

What exactly are you complaining about, who sold it to you and when?

All the PPI's that are relevant are just before the transaction history begins on the SAR so are not showing. I was always told that the loans wouldn't be accepted without PPI so in the earlier days PPI was always taken, but I was self employed so any PPI's I'm guessing were invalid because of my employment status. There have been countless loans between 1995 to date but the later loans didn't have PPI taken out. The loans were with Danske, on a quick calculation i'm guessing there is around £200,000 taken all in all. I'm just aggravated because the important ones aren't showing and have been offered £924 from Danske and £90 from capital one.

Unfortunately without your own proof, since Danske seems to have done what they were supposed to do and destroyed your records when no longer necessary, your complaint is over and you can only accept or reject their offer.
If you take it to the ombudsman, they can't magic paperwork into existence.
And you are talking about loans from 19 years ago.

The offer has been accepted and awaiting it to go into the bank. I feel assured that because this PPI refund only stands against one loan, if I ever find any paperwork related to any other loans I can re apply. I have lots of old business paperwork dating back to sift through. One more question... If I ever do come across paperwork with old loans and PPI, are they obliged to payout or can they refuse as it dates back too long ago? Thanks for your advice Taff, much appreciated

Of course they aren't "obliged" to pay out. Any complaint you might make in the future about other finance (with or without documentation) will be judged on it's own merits (or lack of them).

You appear to believe that all you have to do in order to be refunded is have proof that you had PPI. Since it is not somehow wrong simply to have insurance, you need valid mis-selling reasons too.

Yes I understand that, my reasons are being told that the loan wouldn't have been accepted or be more difficult to obtain without PPI plus a probability that the PPI was not suited to my needs as being self employed which is what the previous PPI refund was based on

A very weak complaint for which you can provide no evidence

Most PPI did cover the self-employed. You'd have to check whether your policy had onerous terms for the self employed in order to complain on that basis.
