I always understood "cant" to be the kind of talking but not saying much that politicians do.

    You are correct.
There are quite a few definitions for the word "cant", I simply picked one as an example.

Would you be happy to pay £10 more if they asked?

Even so, it's still a relevant question.
If someone thinks that it's fair to receive a partial refund because the price dropped between ordering and receiving the goods, what's wrong with asking if they also think it's fair for the retailer to have the same rights?

Nothing at all! I think it's a very valid point!

It usually just gets posted much earlier in the thread than in this example.

Yes, occasionally I make a typing mistake. But thanks for enjoying it.
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

    Totally agree with you here.

But, why is it, when I say exactly the same thing as this in other threads, Some of the regular consumer savvy numpties that frequent here, have a pop at me? lol

Maybe some people have a sense of entitlement, that shops and businesses are greedy and that robin hood was a hero. Often, people don't realise businesses are run by real people, and real jobs and real pay are at stake, so won't ever consider it from both sides.

The contact was agreed? Do you actually mean CONTRACT? Totally different words and meanings?

In the absense of good grammer you'd expect common sense to prevail. Clearly something you have yet to learn
