I look puzzled and shouted Poppy and sure enough she had all red marks on her head . Turned out mum had kissed her with lippy on and Poppy had lipstick marks not blood :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

think you could store shop ones in the same way.
Old newspaper works just as well, instead of kitchen roll. (Though a friend uses sand, and swears by it.)
Remember to check them every so often, and take out any bruised/discoloured ones; just cut the bruised bits off, and use for whatever. (Got some great recipes for apple chutney/pickle, if anyone wants them. I make mine in the slow cooker, made loads last autumn with free windfall apples ... great with cheese as well, Em. Oh, and stewed apple for brekkie - num-num-num:))'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

I wonder if some of the English folk could help with a question?
We're going to visit family near London in July and kids want to go to a theme park. They've been to Alton towers before and loved it. Would Thorpe park or Chessington be similar to Alton Towers? Looks like both would cost around £100 for 4. DH and I aren't keen on going on the rides but I presume we'd still have to pay full entry price.
I've looked at the Merlin pass but don't think we'd have the time to get our money's worth.
Also hoping it'll be quieter at the start of July before the English schools are off???
Not been to either for a while but my girls preferred Thorpe Park to Chessington when they were young teenagers. HTHs0 -
Oh I've just remembered we went to a BBQ a few years ago, all sitting in in garden , kids playing in pool , my son stand up and wee's, oh the shame.
Kids hey, don't have a care in the world do they!0 -
