I haven't tried doing any of these yet and would really appreciate an idiot's guide if anyone could explain how these work and what you have to do.
Given my dh's negative attitude to the time I spend trying to shop the Elite way already, I'd also be grateful for answers to a few other questions on this topic:
Does everyone find ST, VS & CoS are really worth doing?
How much do you save via them in an average month v how long does it take to do?
Does it make glitch shopping and getting apgs more complicated to do?
I know lots of posters have said previously that dh should can be won over by cheap beer but unfortunately he rarely drinks more than the odd glass or two of wine (I already have lots of it) or a few sniffers of whiskey a couple of times a year. He has enjoyed a glass or two of Pimms recently but can take it leave booze really. He's not even that bothered by food... typical academic! The way to my dh's heart is through books and I already use bookbutler!
I on the other hand can be tempted by cheap booze, chocolates, beefburgers, bacon, butter, squash, cereal...............
I use any wombled receipts I find and upload them if they happen to have bought anything on the offers, usually cucumber, mushrooms etc, or more expensive branded items like laundry liquids that I don't buy. Apart from the 'try me free' Birds Eye Inspirations range, which I bought one of the other day, I don't specifically go out to buy things just because the apps are offering cashback, it's not usually better value than just buying the non-branded versions like I normally do.
They're fairly easy to use, you just take a photo of your receipts and press 'upload' on the app. I find the most annoying thing is when it freezes halfway through uploading and I have to do it again! Sometimes they do 25/50p just for uploading a receipt over a certain amount (like £5 for example), but a couple of months ago there was one for £50 cashback when you spend £50!! It was obviously an error, but it got me a free fiver as compensation for my troubles of uploading a womble0
