I don't sell milk but I get it delivered three times a week from a dairy. It's pasteurised, or I wouldn't trust it. By the way that means any immune cells are dead, inert and inactive.
Do I worry about any immune cells being present? Not at all. I know they're there, but they're dead (like everything is in the long run) so I'll postpone my own death by eating them.
It's a bit like WC Fields who said he wouldn't drink water because he knew that fish f*** in it.

Immune cells are fine. I think it's just the terminology used, calling it "pus" just freaked me out a bit. I'd heard it was dead leukocytes, and with it being dead, I'm fine. Immune cells = somatic cells?
I tend to 'freak' over 'live' yoghurts stuff too - yet they're live not dead? I suspect the ones not labelled as bio or active yoghurt also contain live bacteria though? I know - good bacteria and bad, I just don't like to think about squiggly things in stuff...again irrationally. I don't think you're suggesting that something dead is fine but that if it's live it necessarily isn't? It's good bacteria there - even though I just don't like knowingly eating something with bacteria of any sort. (You'll tell me there's bacteria in all food now:rotfl:.) Thanks for your authoritative reassurance.0 -
