    Afternoon all,
In the freebies section of the forum are two codes for 2 months free moviepass on Now TV. I've applied them both to my account successfully.

    Its also on http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/free-1-month-movie-pass-using-voucher-code-now-tv-1912380?page=2#comments

Thank you thank you thank you :j. I applied these last month and the first one worked (but was removed) and second one wouldn't work. Both have just been applied successfully to my account.

Hopefully they leave them on my account this time :T

The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) has today named Babcock as the preferred bidder on a 21 year contract to manage London Fire Brigade’s (LFB) vehicle fleet.

    Right okay.

That was published, perhaps appropriately enough, on 1st April this year:
    http://www.babcockinternational.com/media-centre/babcock-named-preferred-bidder-for-london-fire-brigade-fleet-management-contract/

    It continues:

This follows the successful delivery of an interim fleet management contract awarded to Babcock by LFEPA in November 2012.
Following the LFEPA announcement, there will be a mandatory 10 day standstill period before final contract award. The contract is expected to become operational on 13 November 2014.

    According to the 'about us',

"For over a century, Babcock has been a name synonymous with ultra-reliable engineering excellence."

Hmm...even though I wasn't even aware of their existence until perhaps a couple of years ago and didn't automatically think "ultra-reliable engineering excellence" on seeing "Babcock":rotfl:.

Their logo includes "Trusted to deliver". Well, I have a lot of trust in the delivery of a time signal at the moment!!:rotfl:

Usually, phrases such as this one prompt the riposte from myself: Deliver what?:p

Trusted to deliver what? Fresh air? A crap service? Profits for their own shareholders (only reasonably!). A time signal that is reliably excellent and beyond?

As it is, the slogan is, like possibly every slogan, this truncated slogan - totally meaningless!:rotfl::)

You know  - I think I'll ask them. Let's see what their response is. I'll let you know what the response is!

Strange that. Maybe we just have our heads in the sand.:rotfl:

Well - if it was an immediately clear central point of contact for general enquiries, it hasn't delivered that!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Be warned, I tried this before and although it claimed both had been applied at the time, I got charged after the first month. I complained by LiveChat and was told I'd have to set up a new account to use the second (and was encouraged to do so!). So be careful, and don't be surprised if you unexpectedly get charged after the first month, diarise to check your bank account. Luckily it worked out ok for me, I got a £10 John Lewis voucher emailed and my £8.99 charge refunded but I think PD got stung and they refused to refund the fee.

ETA: just tried all the codes I could see and it seemed to work, but then came up with a red banner at the top saying 'unable to validate code'... Maybe the person I spoke to on LiveChat cancelled my ability to apply for more freebies??

I just applied one then applied the second one straight after and it extended the subscription date to 27th July.

First one sent me an email, second one hasn't.

I didn't get charged last time, it simply disappeared! After applying both codes I have cancelled and it says I will not be charged and the subscription runs until 27th July - so will wait and see (have printed the page just incase anything changes!).

    Hth

    Afternoon all :j

regarding the rioja wine in Morrison's - please does anyone know if this is still on offer?

I really should not buy any more wine but its such a good offer - just need an excuse to get OH into Morrisons.

Or at least to get one of my stores to save some for me behind the desk until my Morrisons gift vouchers arrive ;)

Righto, if I'm to avoid rush-hour or rush-however-long-the-congestion-lasts, I'll have to go now!!

See you later... or earlier if I manage to perfect time travel:D:beer::A.
