Does anyone else get plagued by phone calls about government funded boilers???
They are driving me absolutely bonkers!! :(
I can block numbers on my landline, but there has to be a number. Lately I have 2 that I can't block. One is from a withheld number, the other shows as 'international out of area' They are ringing around 6 times a day now :(:( They leave automated messages on the answering machine.
I even tried answering, hoping that if I actually spoke to someone and said 'no' they'd take me off their list of people to ring but when I picked up the line went dead :(:( Driving me nuts!!!

I have tweets :( truth is, the TPS are next to useless!! they have made 1......yes 1 successful prosecution against a company for making unsolicited calls since they were set up.
Thing is these calls are coming from outside the UK, and are totally unregulated.

All the talk of proms...DS1 went to his on Friday and looked so smart in his DJ and bow tie!

Luckily we bought everything really reasonably...suit from A shirt and shoes from Matalan....and as regards to a mode of transport he just said "drop me off at the top of the road and I'll walk the rest of the way!"
I have to admit I was dreading the transport thing but there wasnt a lot going on round the venue and TBH it was mainly parents dropping off a bit down the road....
We had decided though if the weather was going to be good which it wasnt in the end that about 10 or so of the boys would arrive on giant space hoppers which we had all bought on ebay a few months back ...but come the time they wern't used...

But they really seemed to all have a good night and it was sooo lovely to see them all dressed up!

I dont have kids, but dont they all look grown up?

Except that I'm registered! It cut down the calls at first but they are back :( A lot are from overseas so not covered.

I hate people that lie to try to get through to the person they want to speak to. My OH spoke to Quote Supermarket once when they called about life insurance, just out of curiosity, from then Ash from Quote Supermarket would not stop calling, he used to say that my OH had spoken to him the day before (he was out of the country ) or he was returning his call, or he had been asked to call. Fortunately I am well trained in avoiding the tricks (used to work somewhere that used to dole out valuable contracts and people would use every trick of the trade to get past me, they did not unless I wanted them to :D). I put in repeated complaints to the company and never got a single reply. I eventually told him that if he called again I would have the loudest whistle I could find by the phone and will deafen him for at least a week. Have not heard from him since :D
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
