I got stung paying for a limo for DS1 prom last year. He kindly volunteered to organise it (meaning he'd get me to organise it ) and some of the people just didn't pay up! Expensive lesson!
I'm dreading DD prom when the time comes. Bring back the school disco:rotfl::rotfl:
Boys lined up against one wall, girls against the other and the nearest you got to dancing was an embarassed shuffle:rotfl:

Just been for a lovely walk on the beach.
Tried to have a conversation with DS2 about tactfulness and people's feelings  He says feelings are overrated  do you know maybe he's right and the rest of the world is wrong? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Love these conversations, they always give me much to think about!
I so wish I could have a conversation with your son, he sees everything in black and white, I think that would be very useful to a lot of our "leaders" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You know what, I think he might be right about feelings too, I suspect "feelings" start a lot of wars :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Bubbs, you sure it's a headache and not your sinuses playing up? When I first started getting sinus trouble I just put it down to really bad headaches because if you leave it loo long it just gets a grip of the middle of your face and does not let go :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
All the talk of proms...DS1 went to his on Friday and looked so smart in his DJ and bow tie!
Luckily we bought everything really reasonably...suit from A shirt and shoes from Matalan....and as regards to a mode of transport he just said "drop me off at the top of the road and I'll walk the rest of the way!"
I have to admit I was dreading the transport thing but there wasnt a lot going on round the venue and TBH it was mainly parents dropping off a bit down the road....
We had decided though if the weather was going to be good which it wasnt in the end that about 10 or so of the boys would arrive on giant space hoppers which we had all bought on ebay a few months back ...but come the time they wern't used...
But they really seemed to all have a good night and it was sooo lovely to see them all dressed up!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0
