isnt it illegal to lie like that?

Sorry but for who to lie about what?

If you mean for her to tell you that you are being investigated, no it's not illegal. With respect, don't you think the police have got better things to be doing?

Phoning HMRC or the DWP to ask if they are investigating you for benefit fraud is likely to make either body suspicious that you have done something fraudulent! I'd just leave it and see if they contact you.
    many disabled people work.
DLA/PIP is not means tested and you can do permitted work whilst claiming ESA

it would be her word against yours.

No. It's childish and spiteful but not illegal.

no, because she always earned under the limit

How do you know this? You asked for a total of her other jobs?
  • Why would HMRC and DWP contact your former employee and tell them about your tax and benefit issues and that you are being investigated for fraud and tax evasion? ignore her. If you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. If you want to fret over the hearsay of a former employee then worry yourself and stress yourself out.
These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.
