Where to sell car quickly..

Hi All,

I have a VW Passat 58 Plate, it's a 2.0 TDi Highline Edition, it has 60,000 miles and i've already had the timing belt and water pump done. Mostly all there service history wise in good condition. Has optional (official) front and rear parking sensors.

I'm getting a company car in 4 weeks or so, i've got little need for it.

On Parkers it's saying £7,030 for 'Private Good'... I have to be honest, i'd rather just get rid of this in the most hassle free way possible.. Even if that means selling it for £6000...

Any suggestions on best way to sell this quickly? I've heard terrible things about the WeBuyAnyCar places...

Try them and be critical in your description and see what they offer. Try your local dealer that trades similar cars.

Well if you want to get rid of your car quick then probably they are one option. Shouldn't be too much hassle if you're honest about the condition of your car. You may also have a look at offloading it at a BCA auction.

Well webuyanycar value it at £5300 odd... Seems quite low, considering parkers estimate and looking locally (25 miles on auto trader) dealers to tend to sell them from at least £7700-£8000.

In which case stick it on autotrader, gumtree, ebay, local paper, etc for £6500. Should attract some interest and gives you a little room to get knocked down to £6000.

Easiest way is webuyanycar. Because it's the easiest you can be pretty sure that's what will get you the least.

Yeah, didn't expect that low to be honest :).

I've rung a couple of local garages, see what they come back with over wise i'll go Autotrader as you say for £6500. Just getting rear belt replaced and it'll be ready to list.

I guess they're aiming at the "need to sell it today", "not comfortable with people coming to my house to look at it", "can't be bothered to list it" markets.

Sold my car to Webuyanycar and it was painless and got a great valuation.

    Gumtree.

2 weeks ago I posted my car on there at 10:30am, and I'd sold it by 6pm the same day. And I got what I wanted for it.
