what did you really expect them to offer you, they are buying the car to make money and if the car is worth £7000.00 then they are going to offer you considerably less than that as they need to make money on the deal
the main dealers are selling then at inflated prices as they are going to be knocked down and also you are paying for the dealer experience and the warranty that they will have to provide with the car
if you want an easy sale then take the low ball price from we buy any car, or as above put it on e bay and autotrader for somewhere under £7000.00 and see what offers you get, if nothing in the first week then drop the price a bit to see if that attracts any attention0 -
sadly car dealers aren't in the business to do you a favour and take your car off your hands quickly and pay you top book price for it
they are in the business to make money and for that reason they will pay you as little as possible and sell it for as much as they can get out of it
the only way to get good money out of your car is to sell it into the private market, the passat diesel is a good car and if it is in good nick it should sell well and for a good price, spend a bit of time give it a good wash and a flick over with a quick detailer to give it a nice shine and get it advertised on the net0 -
How about an auction with a reserve?0
