ParkingEye new reg number entry rule!

Options
Hello everybody!
I've just received penalty from ParkingEye on amount £70 (or £40 if paid within 14 days) for failed to entry my registration number inside the Aldi store. I didn't exceed parking time which is here for 90mins.
I've failed to entry my reg because it was new rule here and I didn't notice that information about that. I have no receipt or bank statement form aldi as a proof because was paying by cash. What I should to do? It's really stressfull situation for me because I didn't do that
intentionally. Please tell me what I shoul to do. Thanks in advance!

    Hi dudens.

Don't panic.. there's some great people on here to help you.

Your first call is go to the newbies thread and find the appeal template.

Stop using Aldi? If they are seriously expecting every single person to start faffing around giving them their reg number then they deserve to lose their customers.

Then look at the newbies thread :)

    and complain to ALDI

if you had bought three loaves of bread and they were all mouldy when you got home, surely you would complain to the store ?

if so, why is a parking charge invoice any different ?

once thats been done (asap) , read the newbies thread and appeal it to PE using the template letter as RK

all easy enough when you read the sticky thread that tells you everything you needed to know to get it cancelled or appealed and won

whatever you do , DO NOT IGNORE IT ! (if it was in england or wales)

 Welcome to the parking forum board. There was no need for a thread though, the answers are here already.

Please do start at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread right up near the top, which tells you about the acronyms like 'POPLA' and 'no GPEOL' which will help you to win at second stage appeal:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

We have 100% record of wins at POPLA stage, for over a year now.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

After quick conversation with store manager, the penalty has been cancelled... I will never come back to Aldi. Thanks for reply :-)

Well done. Now, have you told Aldi you'll never darken their doors again? Because that's the way they get to know the real damage this is doing to their business.

Did the manager give you any confirmation that the charge has been cancelled. If not then still consider appealing as you don't want to miss any deadlines. It is unwise to assume anything in this game, so you should not assume the charge is cancelled just because someone told you it is. The charge is only really cancelled once you have confirmation (ideally from the parking company) saying that the charge is cancelled.
