Just a note that the - 'Julian Hodge Bank' offers 3% for fixed 5 year Isa, but there's nothing mentioned on it - as this is the highest rate going.

Im wondering if this Bank is UK regulated and 'safe' ? But there's no info on this site about this. Apologies if I've missed it, would like your take on it thats all

It's certainly UK regulated. Based in Cardiff. Set up by Julian Hodge, who previously ran the Commercial Bank of Wales, and well known in Wales.

It's one of the few banks you'll come across that pays more out in interest than it receives. Seems to make it's money from equity release. Does not appear to have lost large sums of money in the recent past. Has a lot of cash, and plenty of capital.
