I miss these calls. As an IT technician, I could have so much fun with them.
If I didn't have time to play with them, I also answered them in Russian. It got rid of them at the time without being rude, and also gave them a reason not to ring me back.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

I ask them how my "Windows" computer can be sending them error messages when I have an iMac.
Regardless, no computer manufacturer calls customers about their downloads or "error messages"0 -
Tell them you use Linux Mint0

Me and my brother kept these computer fraudsters on the phone for 20 minutes wasting their time. It was quite funny and we had time to kill, my reasoning, they may have scammed someone in that 20 minutes if we hadn't kept them busy! We pretended we were following their instruction 'ok let me switch on my computer... sorry it's taking ages to load.... hang on one moment I was in the middle of making tea... its loaded, where do i go?...' and so on.
It did leave them annoyed and their supervisor even came on the phone to shout at us! It was funny.0 -

The more time they spend with you, the less time they're ripping off the naive, the less profitable the scam - have as much fun with them as you can!
Maybe for bonus points record the calls and post them online for us all to enjoy...0 -

Only 20 minutes
I managed 1hr 45 minutes :rotfl: took them into the shower with me on speakerphone with several 'just hold on' and 'it's very slow' etc etc
Eventually got called a 'mother sucker', well, that's what it sounded like!!!!!0 -
Was it not a futhermucker?0

Had one of these calls today, good fun really.
I thought I would string him along for a while 'yeah my computers slow, it's taking ages to boot up etc. He then said do this and this what comes up? (I didn't even have the computer on).
However I couldn't resist saying when he asked what does the computer say now to which I replied 'kiss my a*s'. The funny thing was it went completely over his head and he just carried on with his carp. I was eventually passed onto a supervisor who subsequently went onto totally break my computer (which of course he didn't).
I then went onto tell him that I had to now buy a new computer and he said he would phone back in a week to verify the new computer!
Unfortunately for him I told him I was not going to buy a Windows computer at which point he hung up, the rude un.
All good fun really.0
