Vodafone billing me 1 ear after contract terminated

1 year**

Hello,

I terminated my contract with Vodafone over a year ago - 7 May 2013. I paid every bill up to date and the early termination fee. They continued to bill me almost every month after the contract was terminated, I contacted them every time I recieved a bill to tell them the contract was terminated, but they said there was no record of it. We recieved demands from a debt collection company which we had to pay to avoid any further action.

Finally Vodafone agreed the contract was closed and we would recieve the money back we paid and they would credit all bills. A couple of months later we started to recieve bills again.... this has now been going on over a year. I think I speak to Vodafone 2 or 3 times a week to try to resolve this.

The current situation is that they said they will credit my account with the money we have paid but shouldnt have which is around £152.00, and this will be then refunded to my bank.

Every time I call they say the credit has not yet been made and I should call back in 3 working days, this has been going on for over 2 weeks.

It is costing me a fortune to call them, over £150 so far and costs for parking and petrol for making serveral trips to the store in the last year, I have defaults on my credit history every month they billed me when they shouldnt have and even though I never miss a payment of any of my other loans / cards It has now affected my credit rating.

I really dont know where to go from here I am getting no where with Vodafone, can any one advise on what to do next?

Thank you

Providing you have kept records. So you have letters, emails, recordings of phone calls and can prove that the contract was cancelled (and better if you can prove they accept it was cancelled) then just send them an LBA and take them to court for the money. You can claim back the money you paid them, all court costs and fees plus reasonable costs incurred.

Since this sounds clear cut i wouldnt even bother with them any more, just take them to court. And you can get your 'ear' back
  • Thank you, we have never had a letter confirming any thing from them even after requesting one numerous times but Im sure the fact they have credited all previous bills would be enough proof.

    Thank you for your help
