Since you left us, charges have been raised - Sky

Summary: The O2 Broadband accounts that Sky now have will be wiped at the end of this month.
Explanation: I was an O2 broadband customer. Sky bought it. I switched to Plusnet 6+ months ago. The account was finally closed - with them having to refund me a month's cost in January. I continued to get 'you owe us £0.00' emails until March.*
Then on 8th May I get a letter from the Sky Home Communications Team stating that "Since you left us, some charges have been raised on your Home and Broadband account. We've added these charges to your account and your outstanding balance is now £55.94". There was no explanation as to what the cost was for.
I have just come off the phone with them - they were going to blindly take the payment there and then until I explained what had happened. I was told that the £55.94 had been raised in error and that all o2 accounts were going to be wiped at the end of the month anyway and that I wasn't to worry about it.
Hope this helps someone.
* In trying to resolve the closing of the account they wouldn't pass me through their telephone security for a while as they had my mother's maiden name in their database where the Place of Birth should have been (on the third attempt someone with a bit of empathy actually helped resolve this instead of putting the phone down on me saying they couldn't help me with this call any further).
