Incorrect Entries - How To Remove???

I've written to Lowell and Capquest asking for details of the accounts and will wait to see what that brings. I still don't like the fact they're on my credit file but they drop off before my last one in 5 years 10 months so if I don't get anywhere they won't have too much effect. The main one I've questioned with Lowell is the one for £217 that's just come onto my credit file (in April) with a default date of 05/11/2007. Baffling!! It also transpires that the Santander account is an old Alliance & Leicester account I had, but never had an overdraft with it. I believe (after calling them regarding it) the account was left overdrawn after I thought I'd closed it and charges built up and built up. I'll be fighting that one tooth and nail so any advice on how to go about this would be great.

I've accepted the fact that my credit file is a mess, getting changed what I can through mistakes and getting everything else paid off via my DMP. Hopefully in 6 years through defaults dropping off and a continued good payment history on my mortgage, secured loan, utilities, mobile phone etc will majorly boost it in years to come.
