Oh 90 days to the first test, that is insane, where is the time going? We also seem to be sitting around mid 70s at the moment but we haven't done that many practice papers over the summer, I think about 4 but my daughter has been doing loads of maths and English exercises in the Bond books and she has been doing really well with these but for some reason when she sees a practice paper she panics. She really enjoys doing the Bond books but as I said the practice papers just throw her (despite the fact that the bond books have the same sorts of questions).0

What papers are you all using? I have the CEA papers but that's only 24 papers and we've nearly them all done. Good luck to all your kids!!0

Hi TutuBelle, yes we are using CEA papers as well but my daughters school had been doing these tests in school and then sent them home with 8 papers for over the summer and asked the parents not to give the kids any other CEA papers as they would be using what was left for practice papers in p7 so we have been using Bond books. My daughter did another practice paper today and thankfully her mark is starting to creep back up again, she got 80% in this one. She does extremely well when she is doing the Bond books but then panics when doing the practice papers.0

Thanks Mrs Mum. I've been doing the CEA papers and I presume the school will go over them again in sept but I didn't know what else to do. She's been doing well ( around 75-80%) in them - except paper 23 where she fell way down . Do you buy the bond ones in easons? X0

I ordered them on the waterstones website and then collected them instore the next day, it was cheaper to order them online and then pay for them instore than just going in to buy them, don't figure considering you are still paying for them in the store! I definitely think some of the CEA papers are harder than others and having looked at recent AQE papers I think the old CEA papers are slightly harder than the AQE papers (or maybe that's me wishful thinking, lol). I am hoping that by November my daughter will be consistently around the 85% mark.0

Forgot to say TutuBelle, well done your daughter, that seems to be a good percentage to be at with still 3 months to go x0

When you say CEA Papers... What papers do you mean? Where are they from?:hello: Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends:EasterBun0 -
They are the old 11+ papers.0

Oh.. Do you just use them without the science?
My sister hasn't had much interest in working lately but seems to be trying this week so I'm hopeing this continues and marks start to go back up... Fingers crossed!:hello: Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends:EasterBun0 -
Yes the science bit is taken out and then two tests are put together to make it long enough, I think it is a bit longer though than the AQE tests.0
