Private parking fine

Hiya, this is my first time on here and I need a bit of advice please. Last Wednesday I parked in a car park in a 'leisure park' (has restaurants, cinema, a couple of shops, bowling alley etc) I believe it was a public car park, no ticket machines and as I drove in I didn't see a sign to say it's illegal to park here, anyway I left the car park and went down the road to the aquarium. Was there for a couple of hours, got back and used the bowling alley on the premises for roughly an hour. I got back to the car and found a parking ticket on my windscreen stating that I was observed leaving the site and have to pay £100! I believe this to be unfair as firstly there were no obvious signs and also the fact I eventually used the facilities on site. I was going to appeal but have read a couple of threads saying I can just ignore the ticket and they can't take anything further, I'm not sure what to do! Sorry about the essay, any help would be appreciated thankyou

    Firstly it's not ILLEGAL

    Secondly - IT'S NOT A FINE !!!!

Thirdly, please point us to the threads that say ignore ?

Who issued the ticket ? Have you read the Newbies thread ?

 Welcome to the parking forum board.

Please do start at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread right up near the top, which gives you your first appeal wording (doesn't matter about the circumstances). It also tells you about the acronyms like 'POPLA' and 'no GPEOL':

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

We have 100% record of wins at POPLA stage, for over a year now. Once you've read the NEWBIES thread, try using the 'search this forum' heading on the first page for the name of the PPC (who is it?). That will show you all the zillions of other threads about this bunch who you will beat on appeal like we always do.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
