Any Orange Broadband horror stories?

I'm thinking about moving to Orange as I have my mobile account with them. I've seen a lot of bad reviews regarding their customer service but can't see anything relating to the actual broadband, and a couple of people I know who have it seem happy. Should I be wary or am I just being paranoid??

Go through Topcashback for £101 and pay for a year's line rental upfront to get BB and LR for £13 a month - £101 = £4.58 a month.
I have used Orange BB for the last few years and I think it's ok.0 -
Never had any problems with the broadband but leaving them was a nightmare having to speak to CS in India? and UK, both equally obstructive.0

Most of the BB uses the same wiring and connections. Its only the end bits and the customer service that let them down.
SKY were useless until i fobbed them off pretending to do the master socket checks etc. Then eventuallt get through to their level 2 support. Who actually know what they are talking about.
He could see instantly how often the connection was dropping. And actually spotted where the fault was. Sorted.
Recently i had an AOL customer contact me because their internet wouldnt work. They had spoken to AOL who were sending them a new modem.
I went and had a look. Modems fine. Its connected to the internet. But its not accepting your password/login.
Phoned TalkTalk and got someone that didnt know what AOL was. Hung up and tried again. Different person says i need billing. Gives me the phone number i just dialled. Eventually finds me another number.
Transpired that this person has received a dodgy email and they thought it wise to scramble their password...??? Had they downloaded and opened the email. NO. But you changed their password and failed to tell them?
They phone for help and get told its a modem problem and a new one is on its way?
I was with AOL for many years and they were good. But i left when CPW took over. Moved to O2 and left when SKY took over. Plusnet now...Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
