ANPR parking ticket - advice needed please

MissPurpleness
Hubby has just been landed with a £50 fine, he was parked in a parking place he's parked many times before, outside a shop that is currently empty and adjacent to a property that he is working on. The signs have been removed from the shop walls where they used to be as the exterior has just been painted, on closer inspection they have been put in windows that are about 7 feet off the ground. Any thoughts would be gratefully received x

Which PPC was it?0 -
It's not a FINE! Please read the linked thread which was at the top all the time, answers your query.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks folks, the company is called ANPR. I'm new to the forum so I'm trying to navigate my around without spending hours on fighting a ticket that I felt shouldn't have been issued

Is that ANPR Ltd of Preston?
There are a few PPC's that use variations of the initials ANPR0 -
Yes it is, he's just brought the 'notice' to me

It says he was parked on land whilst not in the premises:the premises are an empty shop and the signs that were there have been removed with some placed in windows that are way above eye level!!!0

It's our friend Trev the clamp. These lot are easy to beat at POLA, the main difficulty is getting a POPLA code from them. Trev really doesn't like giving out POPLA codes.0

Hi Again, I'm struggling to find the template letter to send to them to appeal this or is there not one??0
-
I would be tempted to send this
Dear Trev the clamp,
I am appealing against the ticket you gave me. Your signage is awful. It in no way meets the BPA code of practice and does not form any kind of contract. On this basis cancel my ticket.
If you chose not to cancel it I require that you provide me with a POLA code. I do not want a "hidden" code or any kind of letter offering to appeal for me. I also do not wish to hear about how well Mr Martin knows the site when you send him cruising or whatever the hell he is supposed to be doing there.
Failure to provide a POLA code in the first instance will result in my reporting you to both the DVLA and BPA.
Should you not cancel this ticket my POPLA appeal will expand greatly on the points I have raised as well as including other key issues such as genuine pre-estimate of loss. You will lose at POPLA on these points.
Yours

There is a template appeal in the first post on the Newbies sticky thread. It can be sent to pretty much any parking company. Just edit it to suit your needs.0
