Another New ISA/ NISA question !

Options
Sorry if this is a repeat.....!!

I have not opened a 14/15 ISA yet as i have a question.

If i open a 'normal' S&S ISA, and the new NISA limits come in, do i have to keep the 'cash isa' with the same provider ??

For instance, i open an isa with Charles stanley direct, but when the new NISA come out, their cash interest rate is low compared to a bank. Can i then have the cash element with the bank and keep the share element at cstan - or does it all have to stay together ???

many thanks

You can - as you always could - have cash ISAs and S&S ISAs at different providers. There has not been, and there isn't, any obligation to have all your ISAs at the same provider. You must, however, not contribute to more than one cash ISA and more than one S&S ISA in the same tax year.

If you want to make cash savings this year, you would be a lot better off using current accounts rather than cash ISAs.
