Doesn't appear very appealing IMO. Anyone else heard anything about this?

on an 18 month contract you can get half price line rental for 12 or 15 months depending on the handset.

I do wonder if they give any text allowance in with the minutes though, if they do, I might be interested.

They are selling it on a after your 12 months you get a reduction, ie you will no longer be paying for the handset so they will reduce it automatically.

They also seem to have offers if you don't need a handset.

On first look I agree it doesn't look spectacular, but there will probably be better offers from third parties offering virgin contracts?

I presume the half price line rental will not be cash back?

    is the following example correct?

18 month contract 200 minutes xnet
    Motorola V635 handset
    15 months at £15
    3 months at £30
    free voicemail
    free itemised bill
    minutes roll over

18 month contract 200 minutes xnet
    Samsung D500 handset
    12 months at £15
    6 months at £30
    free voicemail
    free itemised bill
    minutes roll over

Looking at the pdf tariff page, it doesn't say anything about free texts. I agree they don't look like even worth bothering over.

Most networks (excluding special offers) charge £30 for 200 anyone, anytime mins and around 50texts (orange & o2 on their website generally allow more texts). Virgin want us to pay £32 with no texts at all!
