Hi
I am due to use airport lounge for my holiday in June. I have noticed that there is a dress code - Smart casual.
I do not want to get to the lounge and not be allowed in due to what i am wearing.
Can anyone advise what is acceptable and not acceptable?
I am hoping to wear my flip flops and demin 3/4 lengths... is this ok?
Thanks

That will be fine - as long as you're also wearing something on the top half
Airport lounges are in the main not particularly special anymore. The ones that are require you to pay so much that you can wear whatever you wish!0 -
Unlikely. Cut down or 3/4 length jeans, shorts, football tops or flip flops probably not classed as smart casual.
Jeans, chinos and a short or long sleeve shirt would work. Smart trainers or scolded shoes probably best as footwear.0 -

I've been in countless lounges and never been turned away for wearing 3/4 length jeans. In the non status lounges I have seen people in football shirts and the like.
OP, which lounge is it?0 -
I can see the issue being the flip flops - they aren't shoes, they are beachwear.
OP would get turned away at Manchester escape lounge.0 -

I've seen plenty of women in there in flip flops, and a few men too. I've never seen anyone turned away from a lounge, and I've seen some people looking a right state!0 -
A mankini would be pushing it.Turning left avoids some of the idiots (only some)0

I was on the interview panel for someone who turned up wearing flip flops for a senior management position in a large primary school.
All I could say during the panel feedback was "flip flops? To an interview?"
Needless to say, she didn't get the job.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
