Sky TV Issue

Hi All,
Really long time reader and first time poster here.
I have an issue with Sky, I've been a customer of theirs for a really long time and this month I've had a major issue.
At the start of May a DD of theirs failed, completely missed by me due to changing my bank over and forgetting to call them. The first time I realised this was a few days after when the restriction message popped up whilst watching something.
As soon as this happened I called and paid on my card and changed the due date for the DD to the 16th of the month. All was sorted I thought and carried on.
This months Direct Debit has gone out this morning for more than double my normal monthly subscription fee. I've called Sky, they say they have no record of my call in April and no payment was made, I've checked my bank and yes the payment from my card has not gone out. It's not been rejected, the payment was reserved but they never collected apparently. My bank say they can see the request for payment but then Sky did not complete so this transaction is not on my statement.
My issue is not that I don't owe the money, I do and I have paid, my issue is that they are denying that the call ever happened in the fist place although they acknowledge that they don't understand how the service block was lifted without a payment being made. My other issue is that they have not notified me of the billing amount increase this month before the DD was taken.
Sorry to rant, I know this is a mini epic, just not really sure what to do. Does the forum believe this warrants a full complaint, I don't like being called a liar!

If you paid over the phone they would have given yo a reference number - all you need to do is contact them with this and you will prove yourself right. Failing that, your phonebill will show an outgoing call to sky!
I don't think this is a mini-epic... I too get annoyed when someone says I am wrong and I know I am right!0 -
Forget it. You started it by omitting to keep Sky informed. You have no written evidence because you used the telephone. Everything is sorted so just forget about it. Life's stressful enough without adding to it.0

You seem to be getting stressed about nothing. The original mistake was yours. When you realized you phoned up to pay. Sky took the block off but for some reason didnt take the payment. When they took the next DD they took the missing amount. Everything is as it should be, nobody has lost out and life is far too short and stressful with other stuff.
Relax, have a glass of wine and put it behind you.0
