I have had an Amazon Mastercard for a few months now and have been enjoying thr cashback it provides.

Recently my work colleague was talking about getting a new credit card so i recommended he got an amazon one as long as he planned on paying it off in full every month.

To my suprise its no longer avaliable on the amazon of bank of america site.

Does anyone know what this means for current customers? I cant find any information anywhere! Hope it doesnt get cancelled or something.

I had heard it was moving away from MBNA so it's probably in transit right now i.e. MBNA no longer issuing and the new provider not in a position to do so yes.

Current customers could go either way. When the Halifax stopped doing Marriott cards they simply gave me one of their standard cards. I then had to apply to Creation who took over the Marriott deal in the UK.

Alternatively, you might just have your account migrated to the new provider.
Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.

If you have an Amazon Mastercard and go to the following page logged into Amazon you get information about your card:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/cobrandcard/marketing.html

If you are not logged into Amazon you get the following text:
"Thank you for your interest in Amazon.co.uk Credit products. This page is currently being updated. We appreciate your patience. Please return later to apply for your Amazon Credit product. Thank you."

I do not know what you see if you do not have an Amazon Mastercard and are logged in to Amazon.

The product is probably being relaunched as an AmEx networked card (still issued by MBNA) like all of their other reward cards.

Well you'll probably find your card is changed some way down the line. They won't be making enough money from MasterCard anymore. American Express is the only network that provides enough money to the issuer to offer a decent rewards program.

Care to quantify that statement? I've found that my Amex cards are way better, in terms of rewards etc., than any MasterCard/Visa I've had!
