so house is almost done, kitchens ordered and the gardens sorted.

time to spend some money on something decent :T

goin to buy a sunday car come winter (at least a third cheaper), the only thing shes moaning about is that we need to fit the dog in it (and her too, its not an either or:D)

dont wana spend much more than £3k, we've 2 other cars so mpg etc isnt an issue. dont want massive maintaince bills so no tvr's etc!

really like the slk but no doddy space, z3's the same etc etc. can only think a4, 3 series with 4 seats?

£3k will get you a '98/99 2.7 bi-turbo S4 or maybe even an early 4.2 with plenty of room for wife & dog

Either will put a smile on your face, my own preference is the 2.7 but try both and see what you think

Inclined to agree with the S4 Comment.... Wont see many 4.2's for £3k money... plenty of 2.7's around for that kind of money. Can be end of the world to maintain for the unspannercated.. C43 AMGs?... What they making as an estate now?... Let Fido ride in Style.

Supercharged Overfinch Range Rover. You might get one for £3k if you can find an older one.

Fold down tailgate is ideal for dogs, And for sitting on for picnics etc.

Slight issue with the only overfinch part being the steering wheel.. But im sure there is a barn out there with one just waiting to be found.

My father manages to fit a medium sized dog and a bicycle in (yes, all inside) his 350z. Probably out of budget, but these larger 2 seaters with a kinda shelf behind the seats are ideal to put a dog in behind you. Though having said that you often sacrifice that space for the convertible.
