Complaints to the BPA

Might it not be a good idea to keep a running tally of complaints, PPC name, what the complaint was about, BPA response etc all in one thread. That way we could then hit the DVLA with a 'super complaint' in the future i.e. XYZ Ltd has been complained about 56 times in the last 6 months for not following the AOS code of practice, why are you still allowing them access? type of thing. It would also help with the press and complaints to MP's , they like numbers.

Good Idea
Column 3 will be nothing, nothing, nothing, ...
To start:
UKPC, Failure to provide POPLA code, nothing.Je suis Charlie0 -
Well I'm happy to update a total every week.0

You could start a thread and keep collating links/outcomes into it that you see - that's what I do with the 'Successful Complaints about PPCs' thread and the 'cases won against PPCs (non exhaustive)' link in the small claims post in the NEWBIEs thread. Easily done if you are on here every day why not go ahead and give it a go!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've done that, with a link to the BPA complaint address in the Newbies thread. Do we have a complaint email for the IPC?0

IPC web-site has the following info about complaints
Compliance Monitoring
It is a requirement of all ATA's to have an enforceable Code of Practice. The IPC therefore operates a sanction system in order to encourage compliance.
This includes a complaints procedure which allows people who feel that an operator is not complying with the code to refer matters to us.
The IPC is not able to consider complaints about members unless it is regarding an alleged instance of non-compliance of the Code. Similarly, the IPC are not able to intefere with decisions of Parking Operators in relation to the validity of charges that they issue. Nor will the IPC interfere with or influence in any way, the decisions of the Independent Appeals Service.
If you need to refer a complaint to us then please contact us.
The "contact us" link provides the following contact details
The Independent Parking Committee
4 The Stables
Red Cow Yard
Knutsford
Cheshire
WA16 6DG
Email: contact@theIPC.info
Could we perhaps add the above to the contact details in post #6 of Newbies C-m?0 -
Yep I have just added it, thanks CC!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
