A friend of mine sold their house through PB recently. She sold quickly, at the price she asked for and was very positive about the process and chap who she liaised with.

The true value in an estate agent is not in getting an offer on the property, it is the post offer pre completion work. Leasing with solicitors, keeping sellers and buyers calm and updated, and not whipping them into a frenzy.
I looked at all online offerings, and for me, the option of having an office to walk into and a person to speak to was worth the additional £400 in an already stressful time.
