Cheap replacement phone, and SIM sizes
Hi all, my first post here
. I have 2 questions:
1) My phone is playing up and I'm thinking of buying a replacement. It's a HTC Desire C which I've had for nearly 2 years (contract nearly over) so almost anything would be a big upgrade. The three buttons along the bottom have stopped working so it's difficult to use. The new phone needs to accept a standard size SIM so I can just swap it straight in. I'm thinking of a Huawei Ascend Y300 which I can get for £90 on Amazon, but I'm willing to spend a bit more if anyone knows a good alternative. It needs to have a SD card slot as I will use it for music.
2) As my contract with 3 ends in July, I think I'll get one of their SIM only plans, thinking of the one with unlimited data and 200 mins for £12.90 per month, but if anyone knows of a plan with another network that is a good alternative I'd be interested. The real question is about the size of SIM card I choose, am I right in thinking I could just get a Nano-SIM and use an adapter so it would work in any phone? That would be ideal so I don't have to worry about the SIM not working in any future phones I buy. Or are networks normally willing to send out different size SIMs whenever needed?
Any help appreciated

Have a look at Alcatel Idol S: Moto G 8GB or Alcatel One Touch Idol S?The new phone needs to accept a standard size SIM so I can just swap it straight in. Giffgaff and Lycamobile (both O2 and PAYG).2) As my contract with 3 ends in July, I think I'll get one of their SIM only plans, thinking of the one with unlimited data and 200 mins for £12.90 per month, but if anyone knows of a plan with another network that is a good alternative I'd be interested.

Thanks, that Alcatel Idol S looks unbelievable for the price, only problem is it takes a Micro-Sim. I'll have to get onto 3 and see if they can send me one of those.
I mistakenly got the root version of button savior, which only allows me to use the home button, so I'll try the version you suggested.
As for the other networks, I take it your suggestions don't include unlimited data? That's something that's really important to me as I use Youtube a lot. Also 3's inclusion of 4G at no extra cost is great, but I'll have a look at what Giffgaff and others offer.0
