They will just forward it to the complaints team; CEO's don't read things like that, the closest it would get would be their secretary/PA who won't give a rats behind how "strong" your complaint is.0

It depends on the organisation.
In my experience there can be a dedicated person/ team that deals with CoE complaints. Even if it is passed to the general complaints team then it normally comes back to the CEO/ their EA/ the Exec complaints manager to sign off the resolution/ letter prior to it going out.
Of cause that doesnt mean you get any better a response than going via the normal channel, some CoEs are less generous than a normal member of staff, but it does normally get a little more focus0 -

I once used united utilities ceo email and worked. I am sure he didn't read it himself but after 5 or 6 phone calls to customer service with no sign of them fixing my open sewer drain on my path, one email to the CEO and someone phoned me the same day and told me they would be round to fix it the next morning, and they were.0

I have usually had a good and quick response from an email sent to a CEO. I usually find it gets quickly passed onto a senior member of staff who deals with complaints and they take ownership of the problem until it is resolved (as long as the complaint has merit).0 -

Agreed.
I've never been unhappy with the response I've received to a resonable, well-written complaint letter.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
