My Dad had dementia, and it is very hard to watch them deteriorate, I have sent you a PM Islandmaid. DG. XMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

So pleased Lamewolf. Such an achievement. Well done!I managed to do 30 minutes very light gardening this morning - in the front garden!!
Islandmaid. So very nice of you to consider reducing your hours to look after your MIL. No practical advice from me I'm afraid except don't reduce your hours until you have to. I'm not sure of her age or other health issues but you could be looking after her for years. Its a hard life being a carer. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Carolbee How odd we had a long discussion about the LLangollen canal at History club today, I'd never heard of it, but thats not unusual as I know next to nothing about Wales, only been there once when I was very small and then it was at a place called Mastaeg I think, anyway we learned all about Offa's Dyke and how it almost follows the border with Prestatyn at one end and Chepstow at the other.I wish you lots of sunshine on your canal boat it sound lovely and probably very relaxing and peaceful.
Islandmaid nice to see you back again, yes the tribe and I are off 13 weeks today to Freshwater for a fortnight. Can't wait to get on the ferry and just switch off from the mainland.I do hope you can sort things out with your MIL its a dreadful thing Dementia and to see someone vanish in front of you almost is so sad.Do look after yourself as well.
Well off to finish my book The Railway Man, good night God bless all here
