    Morning all,

TTFTM, can I add my name to your list of supporters. I know what its like to worry about your kids. As you've probably heard me say before, my eldest son is an alcoholic and middle son has smoked so much cannabis in his young life, I swear its given him mental health issues. Unfortunately I carry my worry alone as hubby has more or less washed his hands of both of them.

If it wasn't for my other three children who seem to have grown up well adjusted I'd say I was a complete failure as a Mother..... you can probably tag Wife, Daughter onto that list as well but there you go. As you said, it helps to write these things down to people who don't judge. I try not to sit in the seat of judgement myself but there are a lot of people out there that do.

Household chores done bright and early before the full force of the sun hit us. Ive dragged the air con unit out and put it on our bedroom. Hubby woke up at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep as he kept complaining he was too hot. He wont open the windows but had got the fan going over our bed but was still too hot. Anyway, like I said, neither of us slept that well hence the air con unit being dragged out and set up this morning.

    A quiet afternoon ahead I foresee.:T

Fish tonight I think. Nothing spectacular but then again, I don't do spectacular.

    Redruby thinking of little dog.

    Onwards and forwards,
    have a great day all.

Off in a canal boat tomorrow for a week, on the Llangollen canal, hoping the weather will be kind to us there. Anyone been along there, any tips?

All packed and tidied around, just need to sweep kitchen floor and we are all done.

Have a good weekend all, will catch up on my return.

Just back from our local shopping centre. Piccy on FB. Just going to have cheese & biscuits on the patio. Followed by some crocheting Weather is nice, but strong breeze, which is nice as it keeps it from getting too hot. Load of coloured done & on the line.
Been spending again. We have a C&A out here, and their clothes always fit me, so had a little spend up. DH got some jeans & a shirt too. Then we found him some all leather shoes for 50€, so happy DH.

Little dog continues to amaze me with her recovery, she still has a long way to go but she is doing so well she is managing to get herself about with only a few stumbles she is sleeping very well and the bruising has gone down an awful lot, bless her.

My mum is going to she shops today and has said she will get some nice fish (thanks for the suggestion Lamewolf) and maybe a turkey leg for LD, so I will cook them up later on.
I never yet met a dog who didn't love fish.:o I'm so glad she's coming along so well; I'll continue with the healing vibes - fwiw, Mr LW is adding his healing energy for her, too.:o

Posi-vibes also for TTFTM; I wish there was something I could do to help I have MH issues myself, (though not of the same type as your DD), so I can at least empathise.

Carolbee I'm so jealous! I'd love to have a holiday on a canalboat, but I haven't been able to find anything suitable for disabled, other than group trips specially for wheelchair users, which involve far too many fellow-travellers in a very confined area for me to be even remotely comfortable, specially as the only thing I'd be likely to have in common with any of them is using a wheelchair.

I managed to do 30 minutes very light gardening this morning - in the front garden!! Normally I'm terrified to be out there on my own, but I took Daisy out there with me, with her extender lead attached to my belt so that she was safe; she loves being outdoors.
We had a visit from Kira (sp?) the Parsons Russell from across the close; she'd got out, and decided to come and make friends with Daisy.:o

    Hi all,

I,ve not posted for ages, but read everyday.

Love and hugs to all who need them, sounds like there have been plenty of ups and down,s.

Life here has been odd to say the least, as some of you may remember, We were due to get married in August, due to family stuff, we,ve had to delay it. MIL has been diagosed with dimentia (sp), so we,ve been sorting things out so she is safe and happy, which is taking up alot of time, which none of us mind, but it has been stressful, so much so that I am considering going PT at work to help her out more.

Has anyone done this? i,m very worried about the drop in income as OH is self employed, mine is the 'stable' income - the basic bills and shopping will be covered by my reduced income, but there won,t be alot left at the end of the month.

I,m off work at the moment, due to a minor operation, and I,d like to go back to work in a couple of weeks with a plan in place - scary stuff....

Weather here is amazing this week, I know a couple of you are heading my way for holiday,s so hope the sun stays out for you :)

Sorry to barge in with 'all about me', but I know I will get sensible advice from you all x

Lovely to "see" you, Islandmaid. I don't have any useful advice, I'm afraid; your situation is outside of my experience; but my best wishes for you, and hope it all works out well.:o

Hi lamewolf, when we were on the Kennet and Avon canal two years ago there was a boat for holidays for wheelchair and or disabledusers, as we thought it would suit a disabled friend who has mobility issues following a stroke, I can't recall the company though.

Judi, don't beat yourself up, I'm sure you did/are doing your absolute best as wife daughter & mother & no one can ask for more than that. My mum could be a complete car crash sometimes, but she did her best & I have realised that as time goes on.

    Evening all,

Nice warm day today, DD4 has taken her car home today, her first time to drive since she sprained her ankle, she will come back on Sunday to take care of the dogs while we are away.

Glad that little dog is still improving Ruby.....posi vibes from me.

    Ttftm....hugs to you all.

Need to make some bread before we go as neither DD4 or DGS2 eat white bread and there is no brown left. Might make something sweet also as oven will be on, maybe muffins of some kind.

Washing dried on line today, nothing left to wash so will be leaving an empty basket when I leave.

Enjoy your weekend and take care

    Evening all,

TTFTM - Thinking of you and your DD. It can't be easy.

RR - Glad little dog is getting around.

Judi - You did your best, I believe some people are just programmed to go wrong and make bad choices.

    Carolbee - Have a fab holiday :)

Caught up with banking today and some paperwork. Saw Dad this morning for a cup of coffee and a chat, it was nice to catch up. DS2 said the Geog exam went fine, so fingers crossed he gets a reasonable grade. It's a year today and my DD gets married. I hope we get some of the sun we've had today :)

    Happy Weekend all :)
