One Way Car Hire - Western Crete

Does anyone have any recommendations for a car hire company that will do a one way rental? I have had a look around but I am struggling a bit.

We would like to pick the car up in Almyrida but return it in Agia Marina 5-7 days later.

I think the problem you are having, is that a lot of the companies only have offices at the airport and at a few of the larger resorts. Avis and Europcar normally offer one way hire, but because you are going to two of the smaller resorts they may not have offices in those resorts.


Have you tried to ring some up? You find it easier that way, as some may even offer to drop off at your accommodation and pick up too. Only other way is to go to Chania airport and pick up and then drop off at either Chania, or heraklion on the way home.


It is a bit awkward and I don't think they are set up like we are for 1 way hire as much in Greece. 1 way is mainly for business, not tourists.

Think I may have found a couple that will do it, Pan Car and Economy Car Rentals.

Pan Car quite pricey but say they will deliver to any hotel in Heralkion, Rethymnon or Chania districts.

Economy will do one-way rentals. Almyrida and Agia Marina not in their drop down boxes, but there are options for 'Kalives Hotel within city limits' and 'Chania Hotel within city limits', so hopefully those will count.

We are staying a week in each. I thought if im going to hire a car for part of the holiday then i might as well cut out the taxi fare between the hotels.
