Easyjet Group - Pain in the Butt

Came in from Alicante today on an Easyjet flight. Three hours late due to this French strike.
At Luton boarded the Easybus to Baker Street.
We all had to pay for a second ticket £10- what a farce.
The Easybus kiosk at Luton was shut, the guy had run off.

Stelios, you know what you can do with your orange coloured companies. I shall not be using them again !!!

Just contact them, you should get a refund. It was a delay by ATC.

What were the T&C's of your easybus ticket? Non changeable, non transferable?

Its not the airlines or bus company's fault the plane was late and you had a ticket that is non transferable. That said it's probably worth you dropping them an email, they may offer a refund as a goodwill gesture.

If not try writing to President Hollande. It was his work shy civil servants that caused the problem.

Received a reply from Easybus. They say that their policy is fair (LOL).
One hour late a seat will be supplied for free.
Two hours late & 'it's Hard Luck Pal'.

Goodbye Easygroup - you can keep your flights, buses, hotels, etc.:)

It's a separate booking so no different than if you'd booked any other kind of non-flexible onward transportation.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Once you've used Ryanair then Easyjet seems like a different dimension. I was once 23 hours late arriving on a 1 week holiday!

Yes quite a few more empty seats. There was a virtual lynching mob of all nationalities complaining about the extra charges. They disappeared to the National Express stop.
Multiply that by their friends, etc, ad infinitum & you will soon see Easyjet going the same route as Ryanair re bad reputation for ripping off customers.:rotfl:

Incidentally, I have just looked up National Express T & C. For £5 admin charge you can transfer your ticket to,a later time.
I would have been £5 better off than paying the £10 for a second ticket.
It's National Express for me from now on.

EasyJet were not responsible for the ATC strike, so why are you blaming them.

National Express & the train companies would also have required you to buy a new ticket if you missed your booked service.

    So what's the complaint?

so OP, for sake of £5 each (your cost if you had a National Express bus ticket and had to change it to a later time due to the French strike) you're boycotting Easyjet forever?
Do other airlines fly from your airport of choice, to your airport of choice, with fares as low as Easyjet?

Sounds like you would be cutting your nose off to spite your face, over a fiver.

You mention 'fares as low as Easyjet'. Well, I'm a fairly frequent flyer & constantly use Skyscanner for price comparison. The fact is Easyjet very rarely comes up! Ryanair always comes up together with Monarch & one or two others.
As for saving a fiver, that is extremely important to me as I was brought up in times of ' watch your pennies & the pounds will watch themselves'.
If I had been seen to throw away change into a waste bin when I was at school I would have been sent away for psychiatric reports.
After all, this is a money saving forum- not a throw away a fiver forum.:)
