Ukcps - company car park

Hi. I parked in a company car park in leeds, i knew it was a company car park because i have a friend who works there, i was misinformed that the number plate recognition was nit working so i took a chance. Instead of paying 8 quid for parking i got a 60 quid fine, you gotta laugh cause im a tight git...lol........anyhow.....the fine came through the post within a week stating they tracked me through the dvla.....no getting away from the fact, i knew about the car park bring a certain company car park, but thought i would risk it....so pay and bite my lip, or ignore and just sit it out and let the scummers sit and spin on it.

It is not a fine. It is a speculative invoice.
Read the NEWBIE thread several times. Then appeal the PCN using the template on the thread. It may get rejected. Then come back to the forum for help with appeal to POPLA.
Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.

Thanks for info. It does also state, pay 60 quid now, or pay 100 quid later. I once ignored a pcn notice because the signage in a motorway car park about 3 years ago was totally misleading, never heard nothing. However, i knew this was a risk and i parked there on the word of a friend saying the number plate recognition was not yet working. The letter has my exact time of entering the car park, and the exact time of leaving the car park...

Pay 60 now, 100 later, or nothing at all. Your choice. I'm sure I know what the Yorkshireman in you will choose. ;)

Please start again at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top, which you may have seen already but which gives you your first appeal wording (doesn't matter about the circumstances):

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

We have 100% record of winning appeals at POPLA stage, for over a year now. This is NOT a fine so take the advice we know works. There is no fine so no increase. You'll win at POPLA if you use our templates - so of course you must appeal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
