    I guess some will say "don't fix what isn't broke" but that isn't the reason you do these things.

    I did a diesel purge and forte flush within about a week. The purge cleaned the injector nozzles improving responsiveness and also MPG, and the forte flush cleaned out a lot of crap in the engine which smoothed the idle. Apparently, a diesel purge can increase the life of your injectors by stopping them getting clogged.

    All in all, it was about 30 quid all in but once every few years I reckon it'd be worth it.

    Thanks to both the last 2 posters who have endorsed using the products, but both speak of diesels, mine is a petrol engine that has done 32000 miles with no obvious issues.
