There are some great deals available via O2's Refresh scheme if you know what you're doing and are just looking for a handset.
The premise is quite simple: find a stonking tariff and once you receive the phone, use O2's unlocking form to get it unlocked and cancel within the 7 day cooling-off period so you have no airtime to pay whatsoever. Pay off the phone plan part and you end up with a mightily cheap phone.

Personally I've bagged myself a Lumia 1020 Yellow and a Lumia 925 White. The Lumia 1020 has a spectacularly good camera!
