Corporate services PCN

Options
Hi there, I need some assistance with what to do.
I received a parking ticket on my works vehicle whilst visiting a friend. The car park is for said residents and require permits

My friend assured me it was ok to park but after being there half an hour I received a parking ticket enclosed with a £60 fine for not displaying a permit. I didn't pay immediately and to be honest have ignored it.
Corporate services have since written to my work with picture of offence and stated that the fine is now a whopping £160!!!!and has been passed on to debt collectors.

I could really do with some assistance as work obviously want this sorted but I can't afford to pay £160.

Thanks a lot.

Work have to name you as the driver (name and address) then they will have removed themselves from the loop and you just ignore the debt collector letters like everyone does who misses the chance to appeal to POPLA. Easy.

Or reply on behalf of your work - if they'll let you (tell them you'll handle the appeal and if you don't win at POPLA you'll name yourself as the driver to remove them completely from the loop). Anyway, send the usual appeal template in the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top, which you may have seen already but which gives you your first appeal wording (doesn't matter about the circumstances):

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Please read the NEWBIEs thread and learn how to appeal. We have 100% record of winning appeals at POPLA stage, for over a year now. This is NOT a fine so take the advice we know works. You'll win at POPLA if you can get a code - hence why if 'work' has only had one letter and it was within the last 28 days then you should appeal on behalf of 'work'.

So you could change the first sentence of the template appeal in the NEWBIEs thread, remove the bit about being the 'registered keeper' and instead start it:

    Dear Sir/Madam,
I am replying to your letter sent to us at {work name} and as I am the usual keeper of this vehicle I am responding with my appeal...

Welcome to the alternative reality of private parking, here a third party company think they can extort money from people parking on land that they (PPC) don't own! They think that putting up signs entitles them to money, they try all sorts of unlawful ways to get you to pay, and they basically try to make you look like a criminal!

Here we give the truth of the extortion racket run by these so called companies, the whole nefarious trade is laid bare as we give no quarter to them, we tell people ways of dealing with these companies, they hate us so much that they employ people to come here, try and threaten us with court, and harass website owners when the truth is revealed.

We have a vendetta against them apparently , they wouldn't be far wrong as my mission is to see them all liquidated and the directors stripped of their assets and doing time. I can dream :)

Steady there Stroma, you're starting to sound like a fundamentalist. :rotfl:
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

'Zealots' and 'forum guru's' are two of the nicer names that PPC World have called us!

I have some choice words to call parking operators as well, I'm towing the line and not posting them up ;)
