PCN - Peel Centre Stockport

Hi, I am hoping for some help with a PCN. It was issued over 14 days ago but I have been away on holiday. I have read through the stickys but am not sure which course of action is best.
I parked in Peel Centre Stockport in a disabled bay and displayed the badge but was totally unaware I had to pay, the only sign I saw was a £75 charge for parking in a disabled bay without a badge.
The PCN was issued by automatic number plate recognition.
Since the PCN was issued more than 14 days ago, the charge is now £100 instead of £60. I am unsure whether to name a driver (many of my family have access to my car) which would mean a re-issue and then appeal or just go straight to appeal and risk not being sucessful then having £100 charge instead of £60.
I hope I have explained my query sufficiently.
Many thanks in advance

Welcome to the parking forum - in fact there no need for any more threads about the silly old Peel Centre - bod147 is right, read the NEWBIES thread, send the usual template appeal, what more is needed really? Why would you name the driver when you are still within the 28 day appeal window, so appeal by email NOW!
Please do re-read the 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top, which you may have seen already but which gives you your first appeal wording (doesn't matter about the circumstances). You appear to have missed the fact the appeal is already written for you in that thread near the top:

We have 100% record of winning appeals at POPLA stage, for over a year now. You'll win at POPLA if you use the simple examples in the NEWBIES thread or on the fourteen zillion million other Peel Centre threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the replies, I have sent the 1st appeal template letter by email today. I appreciate your help and advice without which I would have had no idea how to approach this. I was on the verge of paying up before Coupon Mad's reply.......thanks again!0
