big bucket truck in driveway

Hello
I'm not too sure if this is the right forum, but I couldn't really find one to fit it.
A neighbour of my fathers brings home for his lunch a large refuse truck, parking it on his driveway, but if there is no car in my fathers driveway, will double park it there for the duration of his lunch.
Not only has my fathers driveway now got a few slabs broken., but as its here everyday, and due to it's size and narrowness of street is a danger to children, animals etc
Anyone know if there are any rules about these churning in and out of the street.

Has your father (or you) spoken to the neighbour, pointed out the damage and asked if he could refrain from parking on your father's part of the drive?
Can't help with legalise of bringing the truck home I'm afraid0 -

Considering they empty your trash every week, I doubt it.
Just ask him if he can avoid parking there because its wrecking your dads driveway, maybe he would even replace the slabs for you if you approach the issue nicely.0 -
Surely parking the vehicle on your fathers personal property AND causing damage would count as trespass?
In my council the trucks aren't allowed on private property.0 -
They empty the buckets once a week not daily, so quite a difference..0

If its a council one, contact the council and ask them why their employees are wrecking the drive! It may alternatively be a private contractor dealing with business waste in which case a bit of naming and shaming on social media can be quite effective in getting the employer to reign in their staff!Adventure before Dementia!0

Why name and shame someone when they possibly don't know that the driver is doing this? Would be simpler to ring the company up and make them aware.
If it's an employee, they wouldn't normally be allowed to use a vehicle for private use. If it's a one man band operation, then that's different.0 -
1st port of call has got to be speaking to the man himself, surely?
'Snitching' to his employer will do abolutley nothing for neighborly relations.0 -
Do some "pretty planting" that'd be in the way of him parking in the drive.....0

If there is no car in the driveway, you could offer the space to another neighbour (who has two cars perhaps), to leave it in your drive?0
