Wedding Dress from JJsHouse/LightInTheBox - Reviews please

Hi all,
I am getting married next year on a budget and was thinking of getting my dress from China via one of the above sites. I've had two ball gowns from China via Ebay and was perfectly happy them, so figured I should have no problem getting my wedding dress this way too.
But then I saw this photo on facebook, and it got me worried. After all this dress is the one I have waited a long time to wear so I would like it to be perfect.

Obviously, a pic on facebook has to be taken with a pinch of salt, but equally so do the reviews on the website themselves - they're hardly going to publish a bad one.
So I implore any of you who have bought a dress using either of these sites to tell me how you got on; I need to know the good, the bad and the ugly!
Thanks xxx

I haven't had any dealings with them, but did a search as I remembered the name Lightinthebox and found a previous forum post. One of the posters who has a large post count said her sister in law had a lovely dress from them, so you could send her a private message asking for more details. The only problem with getting a wedding dress from these sites is that you can't try them on and if anything is not right you do not have the same legal rights as in the UK. when DD and I went prom dress shopping some of the dresses we thought would look lovely on (she is 5 foot 7, size 8) were not as nice on. I don't know where you live, but Fonthill Road near Finsbury Park tube in London has shops full of wholesale priced bride and bridesmaids dresses and they were as cheap as the sites in China when we went prom dress shopping last year and you could try the dresses on. They do wedding shoes etc in the various shops. They had lots of brides brides to be trying dresses on. Some of the shop staff were a bit pushy, telling you the dress is the best etc, so if going try on lots of dresses in various shops and take a friend with you to advise. We went for 10am Saturday morning and it was really busy by midday in all the shops.

Hiya, I got mine in the online dress shop okdress.co.uk. Out of about 6 shops I visited, the Wedding Store was by far the nicest inside, most helpful and nicest selection of dresses. Good luck xx0

I had no problem with the link when copied and pasted into my browser. Here is the direct link for you to click on.

I can't comment on either of the two that you mentioned, but I got my dress from MillyBridal, and it was amazing. Word of warning, if you order from one of these type of sites they usually ask for your wedding date, so they can prioritise which dresses to make in which order. I would strongly advise that you give a date 2-3 months before the actual date as they DO all overrun frequently and you dont want the stress of will it make it before the wedding!
Also, do budget for needing some alterations done in the UK by a seamstress. From recollection, about 1/3 of the people on the wedding forum i was on, who had ordered from China, needed a bit of alteration done, nothing bad, but length or nipping in. Quite understandable, as even Uk bought dresses need some work usually!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I got my dress from Lightinthebox and it was great, I had it made to measure and it fitted perfectly. I do think it is worth paying the bit extra for made to measure.
Having said that I also got my Bridesmaid dresses from there but not made to measure and they fitted well.
Very quick delivery but you do have to pay the customs tax when it arrives in the UK.
ETA: I did go to a shop in the UK first and try some on so I knew what style suited me when I was looking on their website.
